Meetings Made More Memorable

With a wide variety of venues and accommodations, South Walton has the flexibility to welcome meetings of all sizes. And whether it’s a 10-person executive retreat or a 1,500-person convention, incredible activities and breathtaking scenery make for an unforgettable experience.

Step out of the conference room and into the pristine natural landscape for unique team-building opportunities. With hundreds of miles of hiking and beach biking paths, there are countless corners to explore, from the Timpoochee Trail to Grayton Beach State Park.

If you prefer walking on water, try stand-up paddleboarding across one of South Walton’s rare coastal dune lakes. Local outfitters such as YOLO Board + Bike can supply all the gear you’ll need to get going. Talk about a great way to create group balance!

Want to unlock your team’s true creativity? Try your hand at group art classes! The Shard Shop in Grayton Beach offers group sessions ideal for all talent levels, even if you’ve never channeled your inner Monet. And at the end of every mosaic-making session, each attendee has their own work of art to take home.

For a breath of fresh air, try a round at one of South Walton’s many golf courses – including courses designed by Tom Fazio, Rees Jones, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Tom Jackson. Time spent putting on these greens has a way of bringing folks a little closer together. And if you want to make golf a focal point of your team’s visit, consider the scenic Burnt Pine Golf Club at Sandestin. The back nine highlights breathtaking views along the Choctawhatchee Bay, while the front side brings golfers through pine forests and wetlands.

Looking to get involved and engage in meaningful team-building? Give back to the local community by volunteering as a group. Aid in adoption efforts at Alaqua Animal Refuge or remove invasive plants at Eden Gardens State Park – there’s an opportunity for everyone. Learn more about group volunteer ideas.

Time to wine and unwind? With locations in WaterColor and Miramar Beach, The Wine Bar offers the perfect blend of refined yet unpretentious ambiance. Join the interactive tasting events or indulge in gourmet food pairings from a great local chef.

Make sure you don’t miss your flight...of South Walton’s incredible craft brews. Swing by Idyll Hounds Brewing Company to chat with the brewers and sample flavorful beers suited to any taste. Or pay a visit to the 30,000-square-foot Grayton Beer Company production facility, where a recreational taproom welcomes you to play darts, take a tour or listen to a little live music.

At the end of the day, there’s no better bonding than a beach bonfire. Local outfitters like 30A Blaze will handle all the permits, set-up and take-down, leaving your team free to savor s’mores and brainstorm under the Big Dipper.
